'Twin Cities'2016

I began to research twin cities and learn about the benefits of having them. I felt so inspired by the amount of opportunities that were being created by the cities that were twinned with where I was living at the time - Cardiff. I wanted to create a piece of art to reflect the concept of cities being twinned.

I managed to contact UKHO and get hold of a map of Cardiff. I wanted to use one of these maps which are used for navigation by the Navy for many reasons. Their size, colours and details. I then went on and got maps from all the cities and towns that Cardiff was twinned with and began stitching them on to the map of Cardiff.
